Air Force veteran starts graduate school at ASU with mental health focus

When Cortni Potts joined the U.S. Air Force in 2000, she wanted to serve her four years and then pursue a career in counseling or mental health services. Now, after more than 21 years as a flight attendant for Air Force Two, she is doing just that.

Potts is one of the hundreds of students who have come to Arizona State University to join the Pat Tillman Veterans Center while pursuing higher education.

Joining over 50,000 ASU students on the Tempe campus, Potts is pursuing her second master’s degree in counseling and hopes to work with veterans as a counselor.
