‘Fox on the Fairway’ brings golf theme to local theater

“The Fox on the Fairway” swings onto the stage at Surprise’s Stage Left Productions to kick off March.

Come and watch these performers tee off March 1 through the 9 at the theater, 11340 W. Bell Road, Suite 105.

This fast-paced, door-slamming farce by Ken Ludwig is expected to make audiences laugh out loud and forget the outside world for a few hours.

Ludwig is widely known for his zany characters and his madcap comedic farces and “The Fox on the Fairway” will keep audiences enthralled as they watch the battle between two rival country clubs. Viewers don’t have to enjoy golf to relish in the humor of this crazy farce.

“The Fox on the Fairway” takes audiences on a hilarious romp which begins as Quail Valley Country Club prepares to take on archrival Crouching Squirrel in the annual Inter Club Golf Tournament.

With a sizable wager at stake, the contest plays out amidst three love affairs, a disappearing diamond, objectionable sweaters and an exploding vase. “The Fox on the Fairway” is a charmingly madcap adventure about love, life and a man’s eternal love affair with golf.

Director Kandyce Hughes will keep the cast out of the traps for a par performance.

The cast includes Leonidas Karandreas, Lauren Isherwood, CD Macaulay, Shelly Boucher, Gary Caswell and Siobhan Henry.

Evening erformances are at 7 p.m. on March 1, 2, 7 and 8. Afternoon performances are at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 3 and Saturday, March 9.

Tickets are $30 for reserved seating. They can be purchased at stageleftaz.com/seafarer, in person or over the phone (623-285-6321) during box office hours from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Friday at the theater.
