Following “disturbing” incidents of malicious mail allegedly sent to staff at The Grand, the board of directors reiterated their concerns and support for employees during the Sept. 24 board meeting.
Board member Diane Hammann re-read the statement released by the board on Sept. 18, at the beginning of the meeting. The cumulative statement was emailed after the General Manager Jeff Hochman’s Sept. 16 message to all residents about separate envelopes containing hair and feces that was mailed to staff.
“We are disappointed that members of our exceptional staff were subjected to such disrespectful behavior. Staff deserve to be treated with respect and dignity at all times...,” said Hammann, reading the statement.
