There is a formal process involved with retiring and disposing of U.S. flags, and Sundland Park Memorial Cemetery is a fitting place for the proper burials and cremations at 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd., in Sun City.
The Northwest Valley Veterans Association (NWVVA) consists of a conglomerate of veteran service organizations in the Northwest Valley, including Peoria, Sun City, Sun City West, Surprise and more.
Members of the organizations rotate to assist with maintaining the site nestled on the cemetery’s grounds to properly and honorably retire U.S. flags deemed unserviceable for display.
