While wearing smocks, community members had a chance to experience working with stencils, textures and other material to make take-home art pieces during a gel printing workshop at the Arts HQ Gallery in Surprise.
The introductory, three-hour workshop was held July 30, in the gallery space surrounded by the newest exhibit, “Lasting Impressions,” which showcases local artists’ work with different printing methods and forms of artistic reproductions.
Attendees learned about the gel print-making technique of mono-type print-making using a 5”x7” gel printing plate.
