The Surprise Public Library System invited the public to help bring history to life with “Reflecting America: A Semiquincentennial Living History,” a special America 250 program celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary.
The free event will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Surprise Regional Library, 16089 N. Bullard Ave.
It will feature local storytellers sharing personal and family stories that reflect the American experience. From tales of perseverance and triumph to family histories that trace back to the nation’s founding in 1776, the program will showcase the diverse experiences that have shaped America over the past 250 years.
