The bottom of Viewpoint Lake in Sun City is getting a lot of exposure these days.
Since the middle of November, the water level in the man-made lake has dropped significantly. Pacific Aquascape, the contractor for the project to replace the lake liner, had a bucket tractor in the lake the week of Nov. 14. Bill Cook, Recreation Centers of Sun City general manager, reported during the Nov. 17 RCSC board meeting the tractor was channeling water toward the pump on Cameo Drive to expedite water drainage.
On the east end of the lake near the El Dorado condos, all of the fish habitats placed in the lake by volunteers several years ago were sitting in just inches of water.
