The Sun City Ukulele Club has three or four major all-club performances each season while members also often provide performances on their own for smaller groups, such as senior centers, birthday parties and charity events.
The Brookdale Memory Care Unit in Peoria recently held a luau party for its residents and asked Sun City Ukulele Club members to lead a small group performance. The performance was well received, according to club member Jim Walker.
In addition, orientation sessions will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday Oct. 8 and again on Thursday Oct. 22 at the Fairway Center, 10600 W. Peoria Ave. The event is open to all RCSC cardholders.
