In fiscal year 2024–2025, Gilbert completed its five-year Consolidated Plan, focusing on housing stability and senior services.

The town repaired 58 homes, surpassing its original goal of 50, and made progress on the Heritage Center revitalization project. 

For fiscal year 2025-2026, CDBG funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will support projects such as: 

• Emergency and minor home repairs to ensure safe housing for low-income homeowners;

• Exterior improvements to the Gilbert Heritage Center to improve accessibility; 

• Public services promoting housing stability, employment and resources for vulnerable residents. 

Residents are invited to review the draft plan and provide feedback here during the comment period open now through Sept. 17.

Resident input will help shape future projects and determine how funds are used.
