Gilbert Town Council has approved nearly $1.46 million in agreements with three school districts to provide police officers at 11 high school and junior high campuses during the 2026-27 school year.
The council approved the intergovernmental agreements with Gilbert Public Schools, Higley Unified School District and Chandler Unified School District as part of its Oct. 20 consent agenda, without discussion.
The agreements authorize the Gilbert Police Department to provide school resource officers at seven GPS campuses and two campuses each in Higley and Chandler districts.
