Political costumes draw complaints at Williams Field event

Williams Field High School is reviewing complaints about politically themed costumes worn during a recent trunk-or-treat event, raising questions about student expression and expectations for school-sponsored community activities.

Principal John Dolan has been communicating with parents about the incident and plans to clarify participation guidelines for future events, according to Higley Unified School District.

The controversy reportedly involved individuals associated with a Turning Point USA club and another group identified as We the People during the school's Halloween-related event that supports its annual "Stuff the Bus" food drive.
