Gilbert Public Schools has named Campo Verde High School Principal Tyler Dumas as its next assistant superintendent of teaching and learning, filling a key leadership role as the district prepares for a transition at the top.
The governing board approved Dumas’ appointment during its March 31 meeting, with the move set to take effect for the 2026-27 school year. He will replace Jared Ryan, who was recently selected as the district’s next superintendent.
Dumas, who has been serving within the district, addressed the board following the vote and spoke of gratitude and a focus on continuing existing academic work.
