Actors Youth Theatre bringing 'Beetlejuice Jr.' to stage

Actors Youth Theatre is set to present a six-show run of "Beetlejuice Jr."  Dec. 4-14 at the Tuscany Theatre, 861 N. Higley Road, suite 105, Gilbert. 

Beetlejuice Jr. is an adaptation of the Broadway musical Beetlejuice, which is based on Tim Burton's film.

The story is about Lydia Deetz, a 15-year-old who is grieving the loss of her mother and is obsessed with the idea of being dead, as she  moves into a new house that's haunted by a recently deceased couple and a demon named Beetlejuice, who has a zest for life and is double-crossing Lydia.

Tickets are $20. Shows run 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4; 6 and 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6; 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7; 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12; and 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.
