Chandler leaders, others re-open Boys and Girls Club

The Boys & Girls Club Chandler Compadres Branch celebrated the completion of its $2.5 million renovation and expansion project on June 24, welcoming elected officials, community leaders and longtime supporters for a ribbon-cutting ceremony highlighting the facility’s next chapter.

Elected officials joining the celebration included Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke, Vice Mayor Angel Encinas, city councilmembers Jane Poston, O.D. Harris and Matt Orlando and Arizona state Rep. and former councilmember Jeff Weninger.

Others at the event were Marcia Mintz, president and chief executive officer of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley; Eric Petrie, board president of the Chandler Compadres and project partners from CHASSE Building Team, Kitchell and DFDG Architecture.
