THINGS TO DO

'Ordinary Folks' free storytelling event in Chandler on Oct. 21

Posted

"Ordinary Folks, Extraordinary Tales: A Storytelling Event" is free to all when it takes place later this month.

Hosted by playwright Ashli St. Armant — Chandler Center for the Arts’ artist in residence — the event is meant to focus on stories of heart and humor, as told under fairy lights.

The event is at 7 p.m.,  Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Chandler Community Center,  125 E. Commonwealth Ave., downtown Chandler.

There will be "hilarious, heartbreaking and tenacious" tales that only ordinary folks can tell, a news release states.

Enjoy a beverage while listening to unbelievable-but-true stories shared by neighbors, friends and colleagues.

The event is presented through a partnership between the Chandler Center for the Arts and the Chandler Museum.

Admission is free, though organizers would like everyone to register online to get a head count.  Register by clicking here.

Please submit comments at yourvalley.net/letters or email them to AzOpinions@iniusa.org. We are committed to publishing a wide variety of reader opinions, as long as they meet our Civility Guidelines.
