LOW KEY

Downtown Tempe bar closes after 12 years

Low Key piano bar will close after this weekend, more than 12 years after opening along Mill Avenue in Tempe.

“Low Key has been so much more than a piano bar. It’s been a place where strangers became friends, birthdays turned into traditions, celebrations became unforgettable memories and thousands of voices came together around the piano night after night,” owners stated on the bar’s social media site.

The bar, blocks away from Arizona State University, will remain open through Aug. 9.
