In the fresh, two year history of the 3A boys volleyball conference, Northwest Christian stamped its name n otop after defending its championship over ALA West Foothills with a 3-1 (21-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-15) win on May 16.
And for head coach Chuck Hunter and his program, it’s the fourth consecutive title game appearance and second straight title — both over ALA West Foothills.
“I think it means a lot,” Hunter said. “……These last two coming in, like, we’re not favored to win…they're better physically than we are … and yet we find a way to do it.
I think it's that mental toughness that our guys bring.”
