Garden plants focus of next free Surprise landscaping workshop

A landscaping workshop, titled “Eye-Catching Plants for the Desert Garden.” is coming to Surprise from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 at the Community Room of City Hall, 16000 N Civic Center Plaza.

Join Noelle Johnson, the “AZ Plant Lady,” to learn how to select and arrange plants for maximum impact that will bring dramatic interest to an outdoor space and bring color, shape and texture.

Johnson will share her favorite design tips that are guaranteed to be eye-catching and help choose plants that make a visual statement in the landscape.

She will also show you how to avoid the biggest mistake people make that leads to boring landscapes.
