Sun City West club members create unique greeting cards

Members of Scrapbooking, Papercrafts & More club have weekly opportunities to attend crafting workshops, and the most popular classes entail learning how to create unique styles of greeting cards.

During a recent workshop, member Lavonda Beukers showed participants how to cut and crease cardstock to create a base card with overlapping triangles. Coordinating colors and patterns of printed paper were then layered over each geometric section of the card.

Members personalized their double folding triangle cards decorating the card with stamped images, die cut shapes, and other eye-catching embellishments.

Those interested in papercrafts, cardmaking or scrapbooking can visit the club in the Beardsley center’s Agave Room on Wednesdays (4-9 p.m.), Thursdays (9 a.m.-3 p.m.), Fridays (9 a.m.-3 p.m.) and Saturdasy.
