Pancake breakfast nets $3,500 for nurses training scholarships

A $1,000 donation helped Forty & Eight Voiture Locale 1154’s September 12 Pancakes with a Purpose breakfast raise $4,100, with $3,500 of the net proceeds being applied toward Nurses Training scholarships. That is enough to fund three full $1,000 scholarships and half of a fourth.  Members, volunteers and supporters gather outside Applebee’s after the Sept. 12 Pancakes with a Purpose breakfast. The breakfast brought members, volunteers and community supporters together at Applebee’s at 8001 W. Bell Road, Peoria. Breakfast tickets, sponsorships, raffle tickets and donations contributed to the result. Voiture Locale 1154 thanks Applebee’s and everyone who helped organize, staff and support the event. Roberta Kimelton, Jake Dirkse and Larry Leighton supported at the ticket table. Visit vlocale1154.org/nursing-scholarship-application.
