Love is in the air in Sun City as the local Elks Lodge No. 2559 is hosting a Valentine’s Day dinner and dance 5-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at the lodge, 10760 W. Union Hills Drive. Doors for the event open at 4:30 p.m.
According to event coordinator Karen Pitra, the Ladies Auxiliary usually puts this event together. However, this year, they have hosted events nearly every weekend and nobody wanted to put the dinner and dance together.
“Nobody stepped up to do it, so I decided it would be something that we needed to do here,” Pitra said.
