As the Mountain View Recreation Center, 9749 N. 107th Ave., nears its final days before the long-awaited remodel, the Sun City Players will put on one final performance. The play “Dashing Through the Snow,” set for the weekends of Nov. 13–15 and 19–22, will be the final event prior to construction.
Greg Engstrom, the club’s president, said the remodel is “bittersweet.” The group has been performing at the rec center since 1974.
“We’re thinking of this period, this little time now, as our goodbye to Mountain View and to the old stage,” he said. “That’s why we chose the play we have and why it has so many actors in it.”
