Sun City Elks Lodge builds future with renovation

After two decades, Sun City Elks Lodge No. 2559 is getting a long-awaited update.

The lodge’s entire first floor is getting a major lift with new floors, a new bar area and freshly painted walls.

The project at 10760 W. Union Hills Drive began Aug. 9 and is expected to go until Sunday, Aug. 23, according to head of the renovation committee Debbie Glenn. She said it’s important the construction goes quickly because the lodge’s members use the building every day.
