Walking into a room full of people who already know each other can be intimidating, especially when you don’t know where to sit or who to talk to. That’s why Sun City’s NextGen Club decided to start its ambassador program, giving newcomers a warm welcome.
With this initiative in place, club members volunteer to take turns welcoming newcomers at the door. As new members arrive, they are greeted warmly and are introduced to other club members, helping them feel welcomed and connected from the moment they walk in.
One of those new members, Mary Brandt, has felt the positive effects of the program firsthand. She was a little late to her first event, but the ambassadors at the door found her an open seat.
