Baxley: Rejoice and be happy we are here

Posted

Thirteen years ago we bought a house in Phase 1. It was a repo fixer upper and we love it!

It is possible to walk out the front door and put in as much mileage in foot or by bike as one wishes! Yesterday, Easter Sunday, was one remarkable day! A lovely sunrise service was conducted at the Sun Bowl. Much later that day BlueJeans performed at the same venue. Their covers of songs from artists varying from Chris Isaacs to a good-sounding Michael Jackson tune were splendid!

We are pleased to note there is an alteration to our homogenous appearance in Phase 1! Viva la difference! Of Course the culture is changing! Where is it not, excepting that belonging to Vladimir Putin! Maybe one day Sun City will resemble what is lovely about America. We are best in the world for embracing the distinctive and lovely culture of immigrants. Practically all of us — excepting Native Americans — made our way, through our relatives, to this “Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.”

Let us rejoice and be glad we are here!
