Tempe council plans Tuesday vote on city manager choice

Tempe council members will meet Tuesday to consider appointing Rosa Inchausti as the city manager.

Inchausti has been serving as interim manager after Andrew Ching took a similar post in Paradise Valley.

The council will meet 5:30 p.m. June 27 to consider and vote on naming Inchausti as Ching’s replacement, removing the interim designation, city officials said in a release.

The meeting will take place virtually and in Tempe City Council Chambers, 31 E. Fifth St.

The meeting had been scheduled for Monday.

Inchausti is a 30-year City of Tempe employee.

Prior to being named interim manager, she served as the chief deputy city manager, overseeing the areas of economic development, community health and human services, community development, information technology and strategic management and innovation.
