A multi-vehicle, rollover crash early Sunday morning near 243rd Avenue and Sun Valley Parkway is under investigation,  authorities said.

The collision occurred just before 12:40 a.m. April 27, causing one of the vehicles to roll over, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

“Following the rollover, it appears a third vehicle struck the overturned vehicle and fled the scene,” MCSO officials stated in a release.

Two people were taken to a hospital, one of whom had life-threatening injuries.
