Scottsdale PD investigates ‘home invasion-style’ robbery

Multiple suspects forced their way into a north Scottsdale home early Wednesday morning, robbing the victim of money and credit cards, police said.

The suspects then used the victim’s vehicle, drove him to an ATM and forced him to withdraw money from his account before dropping him off in the Walmart parking lot near Loop 101 and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard, according to a release.

Police said the “home invasion-style” robbery occurred about 2 a.m. Sept. 20 at a home near Pima Road and Westland Drive.

“Our detectives are still actively working on this unusual case,” police said.

“All available information points to the victim being specifically selected and that this is an isolated incident with no known ongoing threat to the surrounding community.”
