Northwest Valley Connect officials are looking for more volunteers to help get residents without transportation to their destinations.

Northwest Valley Connect transports clients to non-emergency medical appointments and to nearby senior centers in and around the northwest Valley. The agency’s largest need is volunteer drivers.

Volunteers will use their own vehicle and would be eligible for partial mileage reimbursement at 14 cents per mile.

“Looking for a way to provide a much-needed service to our community?” Gail Christianer, NVC volunteer coordinator asked. “Do you enjoy interacting with people? Do you have a giving heart? Can you spare four or more hours per week of your time? If so, join our amazing team at Northwest Valley Connect and be a volunteer driver.”

For information on volunteering as a driver for NVC, call Christianer at 623-282-9302 or email her at gchristianer@northwestvalleyconnect.org.

“We also seeking part-time paid drivers for our wheelchair accessible routes,” Christianer said. “No CDL license needed.”

To volunteer for this position, email Shannon Armstrong at HR@northwestvalleyconnect.org or call 623-282-9300.
