Duo promoting ‘Sophie Kimball Mystery Series’
Sun City West authors Ann I. Goldfarb and James E. Clapp, writing as J.C. Eaton, will be speaking about their "Sophie Kimball Mystery Series," set in Sun City West and introducing their latest series, "The Wine Trail Mysteries," set in New York State’s Finger Lakes Region.
The first event is scheduled for one of Sun City’s mystery book clubs and takes place at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1 at the Sun City Library, 16828 N. 99th Ave. The authors will be speaking about their writing process and will field questions from the audience.
A similar program is in store for the Widows of West group at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3 at The Madison, 18626 N. Spanish Garden Dr., in Sun City West.
"Booked 4 Murder," the first novel in their Sophie Kimball series, introduces readers to a reluctant amateur sleuth from Minnesota who flies to Sun City West at her mother’s bequest to solve a series of deaths attributed to a book curse. "Ditched 4 Murder" follows up with a wacky wedding and two unexplained deaths. Kirkus Reviews, an American book review magazine founded in 1933 and headquartered in New York City, called it "A hoot with scads of looney characters."
