The Holland Community Center, in partnership with Desert Foothills Library, is presenting the Fifth Annual Desert Foothills Book Festival on Saturday, Oct. 17, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Holland Community Center, 34250 N. 60th St., in Scottsdale.
This free event invites readers of all ages to meet local authors, browse and purchase signed books across every genre, enter exciting raffles and support literacy in Arizona, according to a press release from the Holland Community Center.
Inspired by a group of local authors seeking a personal connection with book lovers and to promote an appreciation of the literary arts, the Desert Foothills Book Festival celebrates the importance of reading in the greater Phoenix, Scottsdale, Carefree and Cave Creek communities.
The festival is designed for children and adults alike, creating an interactive, inclusive venue for readers and authors to connect. This year, the festival features approximately 90 authors, 46% of whom are new to the event
The first 100 attendees will receive a free book and gift box. These curated boxes offer a unique literary experience by pairing newly released novels with specially selected, book-related gifts.
