Gatlin Brothers to perform at Gilbert venue

Country music group Larry, Steve & Rudy: The Gatlin Brothers will perform at 7 p.m. Oct. 3 at the Higley Center for the Performing Arts in Gilbert.

The Grammy Award-winning trio has spent decades performing country and gospel music, building a career that includes seven No. 1 singles, 32 Top 40 records and 24 studio albums.

Among the group's honors are a Grammy Award for Best Country Song for "Broken Lady" and multiple Academy of Country Music awards, including recognition for "All the Gold in California" and the album "Straight Ahead."

Larry Gatlin also has established a successful songwriting career, with songs recorded by artists including Elvis Presley, Barbra Streisand, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Tom Jones and Johnny Mathis. He was recently inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.

The brothers have performed throughout the United States and internationally at venues ranging from Carnegie Hall to the White House.

Their catalog of hits includes "All the Gold in California," "Houston (Means I'm One Day Closer to You)," "I Don't Wanna Cry," "Statues Without Hearts" and "Night Time Magic."

Tickets range from $32-$49 and are available through the Higley Center for the Performing Arts website and ticket office.
