HonorHealth begins work on Scottsdale outpatient care, wellness center

HonorHealth has broken ground on a new outpatient care facility in Scottsdale.

HonorHealth officials said the medical campus at Pima Center, will provide fitness, nutrition and other preventive health services in the 100,000-square-foot building.

Slated to open in the second quarter of 2024, the $50 million project on the west side of Loop 101 and Pima Road in Scottsdale will offer sports medicine, primary care, urgent care, imaging, physical therapy, bariatrics and other preventive services.

“These services will be integrated alongside a membership-based medical fitness center that will include a fitness floor, free weights, cardio machines, aquatics center, gymnasium and a running track,” a release stated.

A groundbreaking ceremony took place Thursday, Dec. 15.

“This new offering for HonorHealth is an illustration of how we are furthering our mission to improve the health and well-being of those we serve,” Todd LaPorte, CEO of HonorHealth, said.

“By bringing these services together under one roof, the campus will create an environment that is a focal point for the community to improve and maintain overall health.”

HonorHealth officials said the project will differ from a typical health club or fitness center.

“A medical fitness center focuses on the prevention and treatment of chronic disease through regular participation in medically supervised physical activity, nutrition and health education,” the release stated.

“The integration of services in one location allows for greater convenience and a more cohesive approach to care.”
