Glendale police are seeking the public’s help locating a homicide suspect.

Just after 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21, Glendale police responded to a report of an unknown trouble call for service near 5600 N. 62nd Ave. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult female victim inside the residence with multiple stab wounds. She was transported to a local Valley hospital and was later pronounced deceased.

The investigation revealed the victim, identified as 29-year-old Marissa Canedo-Gonzalez, had been inside the residence when an argument allegedly ensued between her and 31-year-old fiancé Arnulfo Rivera-Jimenez. Witnesses reported he allegedly stabbed her multiple times and then fled the residence.

Homicide detectives took over the investigation, which is ongoing.

Detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating Mr. Rivera-Jimenez. He was last seen in the area of 51st Avenue and Thomas driving a 2000 white Chevy Silverado extended cab truck displaying Arizona license plate APG2311. He is described as approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall and 200 pounds. He is believed to have fled to Mexico.

Anyone with information to his whereabouts is asked to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO or the Glendale Police Department at 623-930-3000.
