Sun City West ladies help brighten Valley kids’ hospital rooms

Local chapter of Ryan's Case for Smiles has sewn and delivered almost 90,000 pillowcases to children’s hospital rooms in 10 years

Ladies in Corte Bella put their hearts into an effort that they wish they didn’t need to do at all.

The Phoenix chapter of Ryan's Case for Smiles is one of 120 chapters in the U.S. that, in honor of the nonprofit’s namesake, the late Ryan Kerr, sees volunteers give their time to sew fun and bright pillowcases for kids undergoing serious medical issues and extended hospital stays.
