Glendale Fire responds to smoke report at high school, all is safe

Posted

The Glendale Fire Department’s response to reports of smoke in a hallway at Deer Valley High School Tuesday morning had a safe ending.

According to GFD Captain Ashley Losch, the call was dispatched at 8:12 a.m., and when firefighters arrived at the campus located at 18424 N. 51st Ave., there was nothing showing from the campus’ exterior.

“After checking the AC units and all of the buildings, firefighters could not identify a source of the smoke that had been reported,” Losch said. “There was no evidence of fire and no injuries were reported.”

School resumed on a normal schedule.
