A morning of coffee and conversation with Sarah Davis, Sun City Posse commander, is on the agenda for the end of this month.

The event is scheduled 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, April 28 at Starbucks, 10700 N. Del Webb Blvd. Residents are encouraged to bring their questions, concerns and compliments. This will be an opportunity to talk about issues that are important to Sun City residents. Sun City is changing and more people have questions about public safety and the role of the Posse.

For nearly 50 years, the Posse has been the volunteer organization that patrols the streets and acts as the community’s eyes and ears for enhanced safety. The Posse works closely with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the Sun City Fire and Medical Department and other safety agencies to regularly address current and future concerns.

In recent months the Posse increased hours of patrol by adding late-night patrols and, most recently, reinstating Saturday patrols. The Neighborhood Watch continues to expand.

But Posse officials want to hear from residents. What ideas do they have to make Sun City the retirement community safe and secure?

Call the Posse at 623-972-2555, ext. 144, or visit facebook.com/suncityposse or suncityposse.org.
