For five years the Sun City Posse has operated as an independent organization after ending its affiliation with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
During that time Posse officials continued to have a good working relationship with MCSO. The District 3 commander and its community outreach officer, spanning several people as transfers brought in new individuals to those posts, regularly attend Posse general membership meetings and other get-togethers with Posse leaders.
Now there seems to be an effort to get the two organizations back together.
