Chandler schools outsource custodial management

The Chandler Unified School District has decided to outsource custodial management on its campuses.

The district’s governing board voted 4-0 at its May 8 meeting on a contract that involves a new arrangement. Board Vice President Patti Serrano abstained, though she didn’t say why.

Rather than continue its history of having custodial services decentralized, with each staff member reporting to site principals, a more centralized team will be run by Aramark Educational Services.
