‘Dinner time’ burglaries slow after arrests made

The “dinner time” residential burglaries have drastically died down since March.

The Town of Paradise Valley’s number of burglary incidents have gone back down to what it was before, according to Community Resource Officer Jimmy Phan. In March, there were four burglaries and only one in April compared to the 10 in February which was six more than the year before.

The South American Theft Groups could still be in the area but are not attempting as many burglaries due to the collective effort of police departments holding people accountable, Phan said. Paradise Valley Police Department relayed relevant information that helped the agencies of Scottsdale and Phoenix make arrests.
