Avondale invites residents to participate in city survey

The city of Avondale will be conducting a comprehensive quality-of-life survey.
The survey will initially be available to randomly selected residents, who will receive a mailed invitation early this month inviting them to participate. Soon after, all residents will be able to complete the survey online by visiting the city website at www.avondaleaz.gov.
City staff have been working with Polco, an independent consultant and civic engagement company, to develop the survey. The instrument, known as The National Community Survey, allows the city to compare results and benchmark residents’ opinions against other communities across the country.
The survey will include questions about quality of life, important characteristics of the community, services provided by Avondale, and priorities for the future. The survey will be available online in English and Spanish.
Postcards inviting randomly selected households to participate in the survey will be mailed out Friday, Nov. 3.
“This survey will help the Avondale City Council identify priorities for the community and improve the quality of life in Avondale,” Avondale City Manager Ron Corbin shared in a press release.
