The Valley of the Sun J community center, 12701 N. Scottsdale Road, Unit 201, will offer a two-day, American Red Cross Lifeguarding course Sept. 26-27 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This course equips participants with the skills and knowledge to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies, as well as provide care until Emergency Medical Services arrive, according to a press release from the Valley of the Sun J.
Those who successfully complete the course will earn an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED, which is valid for two years.
