Queen Creek Olive Mill creates lines of jams, mustards

Posted

The Queen Creek Olive Mill is bringing new products to consumers as it introduces a line of artisanal jams and mustards.

Located at 25062 S. Meridian Road, the Queen Creek Olive Mill was founded 20 years ago by Perry Rea and now sits on 90-acres.

The mill’s grove has nearly 10,000 olive trees grown in medium density, and last year it harvested more than 30 tons of olives, producing 3,579 liters of extra virgin olive oil.

The mill has diversified to include restaurants and shopping options such as extra virgin olive oil, olive oil vinegar, stuffed olives, tapenades and balsamic vinegars in an array of flavors. It has also developed a full line of bath and body products made with the mill’s extra virgin olive oil.

Now joining those products are six jams crafted with a variety of fruits and warm spices.

The new jam collection includes:

  • Warm Spiced Apple  – The apple, cinnamon and nutmeg concoction can be used for toast, pork glaze, thumbprint cookies or cheese boards.
  • Meyer Lemon Ginger – A mix of Meyer lemons and ginger can be tried on scones, yogurt, cake filling or grilled fish.
  • Merlot – This jam made with merlot grapes can be paired with crostini, beef marinades or dessert drizzles.
  • Spiced Peach Bourbon – Peaches laced with bourbon and spices can be ideal for on biscuits, waffles, ice cream or as a barbecue glaze.
  • Strawberry Vanilla – Made with strawberries and creamy vanilla the jam can be used on pancakes, PB&Js and as toppings for cheesecakes and shortcakes.
  • Blackberry, Raspberry & Cardamom – These berries mingled with cardamom can be paired with muffins, brie, cocktails or crepes.

The Queen Creek Olive Mill’s five new artisanal mustards can be used on sandwiches, salads, burgers, barbecue, charcuterie and cheese boards or as dips. The mustards include, Amber Beer, Honey Mustard, Meyer Lemon Dill, Sonoran Sweet Heat and Stone Ground.

The jams and mustards can be purchased online at queencreekolivemill.com or at the mill’s  marketplace.
