Queen Creek residents can continue celebrating 250 years of America by participating in the town’s Constitution Week contest.
The town’s art and poetry contest for K-12 students who attend a school within Queen Creek’s municipal boundaries.
Students are encouraged to submit either an original poem or piece of artwork that depicts the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
To enter, students must fill out an entry form and drop it off by Aug. 31 at the Queen Creek Municipal Services Building, 22358 S. Ellsworth Road.
The winners will be announced at the Sept. 16 town council meeting, and selected entries will be displayed at the Founders' Day celebration on Sept. 19. Local businesses are providing prizes to the top entries.
