Peoria is the place for first-time homebuyers, at least according to a recent study.

The city ranked No. 6 out of the top 100 most affordable places for first-time buyers, according to a new report from online financial site WalletHub.

In recent years, people are being priced out of buying homes, which includes first time home buyers — last year, they made up just 21% of the market, compared to the historical average of 40%.
