Peoria is realigning its organization, operations

City of Peoria management has been working on an organizational and operational realignment officials say will bring the most effective and efficient Peoria to fruition, as well as best meet the needs and wants of all residents and visitors.

City Manager Mike Faust said he has been looking at the science of city management, which he believes for Peoria falls into three buckets: effectiveness, efficiency and social equality.

“From a social equality standpoint we need to be able to support the needs and the wants of all Peoria residets and visitors. And the needs across our city are very, very different — we have a new and emerging city in the north and we have an aging community that is need of some redevlopment in the south. So we need to make sure social equality stands at the forefront,” Faust said.
