Peoria Unified is inviting all alumni and the community to join one of the district's seven high schools for their homecoming celebrations.

These events bring together generations of graduates and remind the community of Peoria Unified’s rich history of excellence spanning more than 135 years, according to a news release.

This year, Sunrise Mountain High School is celebrating 30 years of preparing students to shape tomorrow. This year’s celebrations include a homecoming parade that will pass by Coyote Hills, Peoria Traditional School and Frontier elementary schools in Peoria Unified.

Additionally, there will be a special recognition honoring alumni after the first quarter of the homecoming game. The traditions and celebrations of each campus vary, from parades to carnivals, but are rooted in the strong ties Peoria Unified has with the community.

“We are grateful for the support of our community and the lasting legacies of Peoria Unified’s alumni on shaping our district into one that provides an exceptional education for every student, every day,” Superintendent KC Somers said. “We hope you will join us for these events to celebrate the history of Peoria Unified.”
