Peoria gives city attorney 8% raise

City: Increase aligns salary with peer counterparts in Valley

Peoria City Council has approved a raise for City Attorney Emily Jurmu.

At their public meeting Aug. 11, the council approved an annual base salary of $280,106, which is an increase of 8% from $259,250

Officials say the contract amendment provides an alignment of benefits with other Peoria non-represented department directors and an increase in base salary, which more closely aligns the city attorney with peer counterparts in the Valley.
