It’s a typical Wednesday morning in the One Step Beyond kitchen. Cutting up veggies to prep for meals, looking over that day’s lunch menu.
And Casey Bagley in the middle of it all.
Bagley, 35, participates in One Step Beyond’s recreational programming on the nonprofit’s Glendale campus, but really hits a stride through the vocational program, which takes him to One Step’s culinary center in Peoria. OSBI’s programming across the Valley empowers participants with intellectual disabilities, and helps them reach independence, meaningful employment, significant social relationships and full participation in local communities.
