Macerich recently announced the expansion of School Cents, a community-driven rewards program that turns everyday shopping into support for local schools.

The program began Aug. 1 and lasts through March 31, 2027. School Cents makes it easier for Valley shoppers to give back to their communities.

School Cents is expanding, including four additional participating shopping centers in the Valley, following the success of the program at Chandler Fashion Center since 2008.

Arrowhead Towne Center, Kierland Commons, SanTan Village and Scottsdale Fashion Square are joining Chandler Fashion Center in the program.

The program will support 10 local schools:

• American Leadership Academy – Vistancia.
• Coyote Hills Elementary School.
• Desert Sage Elementary School.
• Highland Lakes School.
• Hillcrest Middle School.
• Lake Pleasant Elementary School.
• Legacy Traditional School – Peoria.
• Sierra Verde STEAM Academy.
• Union Park School.
• Vistancia Elementary School.

Shop at participating shopping centers across the Valley — whether it's back-to-school shopping, a dinner out, a salon visit or a holiday gift — and earn points for designated school by uploading their receipts through the new School Cents app or website.

Bonus points opportunities will be available during special promotions throughout the program year for shopping at certain stores, attending mall events, engaging in holiday activations and more.

Shoppers can download the School Cents app available on the App Store and Google Play or visiting Arrowhead Towne Center’s website.

“School Cents is our way of making sure that every visit here has a lasting impact on the kids and families who call the Valley of the Sun home. We’re proud to support the chosen schools and can’t wait to see how this community rallies around them all year long,” stated said Terry McInnis, AVP of Property Management for Macerich, in a press release.
